Buku ini memberi saya semangat untuk terus mengejar mimpi, teguh pada kata hati dan fokus pada tujuan mimpi saya.

"When you want something, all the universe conspires to help you to achieve it," the old king has said (p.65)

Bagi Santiago, tokoh utama dalam buku ini, pernyataan Raja Tua itu terbukti saat ia jatuh cinta pada Fatima. Seorang gadis padang gurun, yang ia temui dalam perjalanannya menuju Mesir.

"So, I love you because the entire universe conspired to help me find you"
(p.128)

Pada kenyataannya, segala usaha-usaha positif untuk mewujudkan mimpi ini, sering menghadapi masalah. Namun Coelho mengatakan:

There is only one thing that makes a dream impossible to achieve: the fear of failure (p.149) --> ucapan sang Alkemis

Buku ini akan sangat menarik jika digali lagi lebih dalam. Bagus untuk dibaca dan didiskusikan dalam kelompok seperti Book Club, misalnya.

Satu kutipan lagi dari percakapan Santiago dan sang angin tentang cinta:

When you are loved, you can do anything in creation. When you are loved, there’s no need at all to understand what’s happening, because everything happens within you, and even men can turn themselves into the wind. As long as the wind helps, of course. (p.155)

Very inspiring and triggering book! Must read!
